No. We welcome and embrace families who have varying backgrounds, hold to different faiths, and who are not churchgoers. However, all families whose children are enrolled as students at Pacific Berowra are expected to respect and support the School's Christian beliefs and values as well as participate in teaching and learning that is Biblically based.
Pacific Berowra is required to deliver and conduct all teaching in alignment with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA). As a distinctly Christian School, however, the curriculum is taught and framed by the foundations of a Christian worldview.
In New South Wales, your child can commence Kindergarten at the beginning of the school year providing they have turned 5 on or before 31 July the year they are enrolled to start. In New South Wales it is mandatory for children to commence school by their 6th birthday.
Parents know the capability of their children. When considering when to start your child’s formal education, remember that children all learn and develop uniquely and in varying ways. You should evaluate the readiness of your child from a social, emotional and academic perspective. Our dedicated teachers are ready to welcome your child into our school to commence their educational journey in our caring Christ-centred learning community. Every child is treated as a valuable human being. They will be nurtured and encouraged to develop their God-given capacity in learning and to grow into the person God created them to be.
