Beneficial to All

Students from Kindy to Year 6 participate in weekly Physical Education classes. Our students love gathering on the local Berowra oval for these lessons. Students enjoy physical activity, the basics of key movement, skill development, teamwork and intercommunication abilities. During these classes your child will uncover their inherent talents and learn to build on them. They can also explore and choose to learn new skills.

We offer an extensive selection of sports, both individual and team based, including Athletics, Cricket, Gymnastics, modified team games, Netball, Swimming, Soccer, Softball, Tennis and Touch Football.

Sports Pathways

Sporting pathways are facilitated by the Christian Schools Sport Association and Combined Independent Schools. This enables your child to participate and compete at a state level in a variety of sports. Students in Years 4 to 6 are eligible for this opportunity. Options include Athletics, Swimming, Netball, Cross Country, Touch Football, Futsal and Soccer.  Appointed selectors attend gala days and trials and identify individuals and teams who they nominate to compete at CSSA events. All successful competitors are able to be selected for CIS tournaments.

Clubs

Our School clubs provide a platform for our students to spend time with like-minded fellow students to explore their interests and hobbies beyond the classroom. Students enjoy the sense of belonging, building friendships and developing their skills.

We offer a variety of School clubs such as Chess Club and Debating Club encouraging students to develop the art of strategic thinking.  Our Gardening club operates before school from 8:30am-9:00am and is run by one of our School mums. It draws students into the wonder of God’s creation. Students learn the art of cultivation, tending and harvesting our garden. They have hands-on experience with preparing garden beds, sowing seeds, watering plants, seeing vegetation spring to life and harvesting produce.

In Community

We understand the essential role that physical activity and competitive sports plays in the holistic development and wellbeing of our students. Students not only discover their unique giftings but they also benefit from an increased healthy lifestyle. Starting from Kindy, continuing through to Year 6, we create avenues for your child to refine and achieve their personal best. At the same time, your child can learn respect, humility and value the abilities of others as they participate in teams. They learn to collaborate and communicate as they participate in a community with common goals.

Grade Camps

Every year, our Year 4-6 students participate in a memorable 3-day camp experience. Working on a 3-year cycle, our class groups will visit Bathurst one year, Canberra the next and look forward with great anticipation to the challenges of Camp Somerset on the Colo River in their final year at Pacific Berowra.

Camp Somerset is the pinnacle of camps with countless stories echoing through the varying year groups that fuel the students with excitement. From navigating kayaks to mud slides, from engaging strategic Base 7 to the Talent Quest, every activity fosters development in leadership, teamwork, collaboration and support of one another.
